AMC has officially revealed the title and synopsis for The Walking Dead's Mid-Season Eight premiere.

Episode 8x09 will be titled, "Honor." The official synopsis for Honor reads, "Rick faces new difficulties after a battle. Meanwhile, the fight continues in other communities as core members face hard decisions."

The "difficulties" in reference are likely Carl Grimes and his bite mark. The character will succumb to a walker bite when the AMC zombie drama returns, following up the attack on Alexandria lead by Negan in the Mid-Season finale episode. The "other communities" and their "hard decisions," however is in interesting bit of information.

Based on the tease, it sounds like Honor will bounce from community to community rather than focusing on Rick Grimes and the events taking place within Alexandria's walls for the entire episode. It is an unsurprising move, considering the episode was extended beyond the standard 60-minute broadcast, earning an 82-minute run time for Chandler Riggs' final episode.

A new trailer for the back half of The Walking Dead Season Eight was also released on Thursday, revealing a slew of new information. Among the mild spoilers were Enid's survival of the encounter with Oceanside and Eugene's choice to continue aiding the Saviors by crafting bullets for their army.

Still, Andrew Lincoln promises the coming episodes will be heavily driven be the horrible loss Rick is forced to endure. "All of the back eight is this terrible death," Lincoln said. "This emotion is unending throughout the whole cast and, I think, it's palpable. The cost of this battle is much more full because of what happened."

"He has his extended family," Lincoln said. "He's not Judith's father but he's her dad. And, of course, Michonne. They're in love. But this is... There are times in the back eight that I felt that the show was very courageous in that we didn't know what we're doing. Season 1 through 4, we're still investigating and work out what the show is. Still, I think we're trying to do that, but it felt like a bit like those seasons in this back eight."

The Walking Dead returns for the second half of its eighth season on February 25, 2018. Fear the Walking Dead will debut its fourth season after The Walking Dead concludes its eighth, at 10 pm ET on April 15. For complete coverage and insider info all year long, follow @BrandonDavisBD on Twitter.
