The first look at Morgan from The Walking Dead‘s seventh season has been revealed!

The last we saw Morgan, he was dressed quite differently than he is here. He had just saved Carol and broke his creed of not killing to do so before being discovered by a new group of survivors, likely hailing from The Kingdom. Morgan hasn’t dropped his interesting weapon of choice, though.
Morgan is one of only a few characters who can be confirmed as healthy and alive heading into the show’s seventh season. Eleven of our beloved survivors were left at the mercy of the menacing new villain, Negan (which has been shot and showed to people), and Carol managed to avoid that scenario only to be shot several times by one of Negan’s men elsewhere.
With Morgan and Carol heading for The Kingdom, the new community is only a part of The Walking Dead‘s continued expansion in the world of the undead. “There’s different worlds now,” Daryl Dixon actor Norman Reedus tells Comicbook.com. “There’s different characters. There’s a change of power on the show.”
It looks like Morgan is getting out there to see some of that world for himself, likely skeptical of good intentions though more trusting than anyone else from Alexandria. He’ll likely establish a trusting relationship with The Kingdom’s extravagant leader, Ezekiel, if his leadership style is consistent with that of The Walking Dead comics.
