It’s just that fans will have to wait a bit more for The Venture Bros. to return.

Over on Adult Swim, fans noticed a brand-new bumper was added to the program. The footage, which can be seen here, teases fans about the impending return of The Venture Bros. after more than 540 days off-air.

“We weren’t making half hours when Chris pitched The Venture Bros., so we tried to force him to make it a quarter hour. It’s a good thing he refused,” the bumper reads.

“Another thing many people don’t know about Venture is that we’re still making it. 543 days since season 6; 422 days until season 7. Venture: 2003 – Present.”

If you do the math, Adult Swim appears to be eyeing a late-2018 comeback for The Venture Bros. Over on Reddit, fans figured out the 422 date roughly leave the series to return on November 11, 2018 – so you may want to mark your calendars.

For those of you unfamiliar with the series, you should know the series is an Adult Swim staple. The Venture Bros. follows the adventures of the Venture family, an eclectic clan comprised of the world-renowned Dr. Venture, a pill-popping, failed super scientist and father of the fraternal, not-so-bright twin brothers Hank and Dean. Joining them is their tough-as-nails bodyguard Brock (Patrick Warburton, Seinfeld, The Tick) who was appointed by the government to protect the family from any threat or violence. Together, they embark on a series of odd misadventures that take them around the globe as they fight off villains, most notably The Monarch, the family’s arch villain.

The Venture Bros. last debuted new episodes in March 2016. The show’s sixth season premiered in February 2016, so Adult Swim is giving creator Christopher McCulloch plenty of time to revitalize The Venture Bros. before its 2018 comeback.
