Monday Night RAW paid off a lot of rumors last night when Goldberg made his long-awaited return to a WWE ring, a ring he had not been in the center of in 12 years.

It was rumored constantly during that time frame, but for whatever reason never seemed to materialize. Through the magic powers of WWE 2K17, which also forecasted Ultimate Warrior’s return, that finally became a reality, and fans weren’t disappointed.

A video of Goldberg’s entrance was posted on WWE’s Facebook account and it’s obvious that the company went all out in making it a big deal. It was just like fans remember, with the long walk backstage (with current superstars taking it all in on his way to the ramp), the deluge of sparks and smoke, and Goldberg even breathed out the smoke just like in days past. You can view the entrance in the video below.

It was a fitting return, and honestly, an even better promo.

With his wife and son in attendance, who never got the chance to see him do this live, he talked about just being happy with the opportunity to be a superhero again to kids around the world. As we all know, Paul Heyman then called him out on behalf of his client, and that flipped a switch for Goldberg.

“But then, Brock Lesnar challenged me to a fight and didn’t have the balls to challenge me himself,” he said enthusiastically. “So it got me thinking. What would you do? So maybe I’ve got one more ass kicking left in me!”

Goldberg isn’t back for another stint in the company, but rather one big feud, a feud that had so much potential but never reached it. Now they have a second chance, and Goldberg doesn’t plan on squandering it.

“What this means, Brock Lesnar is that you’re next! But most importantly, it means, Brock Lesnar, you’re last!”
