His time is up, his time is now. You can't see John Cena on WWE programming lately, but today on Twitter, Saturday Night Live announced that John Cena will be hosting the upcoming Decmeber 10th episode of SNL with musical guest Maren Morris!

John Cena has been away from the WWE while filming his FOX reality show, True Grit. The appearance on SNL will mark the first time that John Cena has hosted the show. Cena surprised many as one of the comedic standouts in the Amy Schumer film, Trainwreck.

Cena also showed his late night comedic chops, when his tea party was interrupted on Late Night With Seth Meyers.

Earlier this week it was also reported that Cena would be starring in the upcoming movie, The Pact, which will presumably result in another hiatus in 2017.
