WWE: Chyna Cause Of Death Revealed After Autopsy

Our friends at Pro Wrestling Sheet have learned the results of WWE women's wrestling legend, Chyna's autopsy. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner says her death was caused in an accidental manner by the "combined effect of drugs and alcohol."

Chyna's manager, Anthony Anzaldo, who lived nearby, discovered the 46-year-old ex-WWE star dead on April 20 in her bed at her Redondo Beach home. Anzaldo believed she may have died two or three days earlier of an accidental overdose.

Chyna, whose birth name was Joan Marie Laurer, was a lifelong insomniac who had prescriptions for Ambien and a generic version of the anti-anxiety drug Valium, Anzaldo said.

Pro Wrestling Sheet had also previously reported that Chyna had been drinking heavily prior to her death — "partly due to her relationship with WWE being so bad that she couldn't get an invite to their Hall of Fame."

A staple of the WWE's Attitude Era, Chyna was billed as the "Ninth Wonder of the World" and a founding member of the stable D-Generation X as the promotion's first female enforcer. Chyna was also the first and only female Intercontinental champion (a belt she won twice).

Despite being left out of the WWE Hall of Fame, Chyna was undoubtably a pioneer of women's wrestling.
