It is being reported that Randy Orton will not be competing tonight against Bray Wyatt at WWE Backlash. Sports blogger and former WWE employee James McKenna said he's been told that Orton has an undisclosed injury and was on track to be cleared for tonight, but he's still not 100% and has to bow out.

WWE is promoting the match still as of press time, but that could change leading up to the preshow which starts at 7pm ET. WWE could write an angle to have him written off and a replacement match to happen, or Bray could come out on top in a quick match. It's even possible that Orton could be written off after the match, which would make Wyatt give the win he needs.

Orton was on the comeback after nine months with a shoulder injury, then essentially being fed to Brock Lesnar last month at SummerSlam. It's undetermined how much additional time Orton will need to recover from this injury.

ComicBook will keep you updated as more developments become available.
