When Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan was announced as the new President of TNA Wrestling, it made huge news across the wrestling world. Could Corgan be what TNA needed to stay afloat? Is this officially the end of Dixie Carter within the company? Well, new information has been revealed today that Corgan's deal might not be as solid as originally thought.

According to Dave Meltzer, WWE's offer to buy the company is back at the table, and Dixie Carter has the right to sell to whomever she wants, but there's the small complication of Corgan who mentioned to ESPN (which included a Broken Matt Hardy movie) that he would also like to buy the company and talked about his vision for the floundering company earlier this week. TNA is nearly out of time, and rumor has it that there is still no deal in place for Billy Corgan to purchase the company. Corgan needs to make a deal to fund this Sunday's Bound For Glory as well as next week's TV tapings and needs to do so by Friday. The catch? A complete transfer of ownership in the company could take weeks, and with their WrestleMania equivalent just days away, it could throw everything into chaos.

Simply put: TNA is nearly out of time and money to keep going.

Now with WWE back at trying to scoop up the company, their intentions would merely to get the tape library of the likes of Samoa Joe, WWE World Champion AJ Styles, possibly Eric Young for future references, and of course Bobby Roode and Austin Aries as all of them were either NWA-TNA/TNA World Champions. To make matters worse, TNA had been hyping the addition of Cody Rhodes to their company, and for them to just bow out would be completely damaging all around.

Of course, this isn't the first time the company's been in dire straights and, for the most part, they've kept up appearances, even signing ROH's Moose, who looks to be a solid singles push. However, with everything going on, the next few days should be interesting to watch unfold.
