In NXT’s first steel cage match, Samoa Joe defended his NXT Championship against Finn Balor, a demon possessed on wanting to reclaim his title. For almost twenty minutes, Joe and Balor clashed against one another, with Finn almost claiming victory multiple times, but the Samoan Submission Machine wasn’t looking to just pin Balor, he was looking to outright destroy him.

Having caught Joe between the ropes and the cage, Balor used his speed to escape the cage, but was pulled down by Joe and caught the Demon with a top rope Muscle Buster to get the pinfall on his rival.
NXT Takeover: The End was billed as the focus of Joe and Balor’s rivalry and subtitled as the End of the Beginning. With Balor no longer contending for the NXT Championship, will he be moved to the main roster in the coming weeks, maybe be a late entry into the Money in the Bank ladder match on June 19th?
Should Balor make his exodus from NXT it truly will be a new era for the brand and give room for stars to be born.
