After being away from the WWE since he lost a triple threat match to AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose at WWE No Mercy, John Cena will make his return to Smackdown LIVE on December 27th.
It was also announced that AJ Styles will defend his WWE championship against a new number one conteder on that very same night.
A fatal four way to determine AJ's new contender will conclude tonight's episode of Smackdown.
Look for John Cena to begin his quest for tying Ric Flair's 16 world championships soon after his return.
