In a fact or fiction interview with Sports Illustrated, Edge (real name Adam Copeland) was asked if he would face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania, given he could get clearance for one more match. Edge was all for it, given that the two were involved in a storyline on RAW together, but he also had another opponent in mind if given the chance.
"Fact from a storyline perspective, coming off what we did on Raw in December of 2014, but there is any number of people. If you put a heel "Rated R Superstar" with Sami Zayn as a babyface, that would be something I would like to do. Seth is already set and already in a position where he's OK, but if I ever came back, I'd like to wrestle somebody that I feel deserves to be in a top spot and show why. Sami is a guy I look at and go, "Man, that guy is so super talented."
When legendary superstars are able to put over young talent in a meaningful way it's a thing of beauty, and there are many who would love to see the R-Rated Superstar in a match with the talented Sami Zayn.
Edge also mentioned another performer who makes his living in TNA these days, Jeff Hardy. The two are known for their classic ladder matches, but Edge also shows some love to his buddy Christian.
"I'd love to get in there as a heel with Jeff Hardy. I loved wrestling Jeff in terms of his selling and all those things, or a match against Christian."
Anyone up for an Edge and Christian Tag Team match vs Broken Matt Hardy and Brother Nero? Fireworks are optional of course, but that would be immensely entertaining.
