The deal between Sony and Marvel Studios is something that is still in its infancy, but Captain America: Civil War is the first step in a hopefully long partnership.

In an interview with HeyUGuys, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige shared some interesting details about their partnership, including that Sony has given them creative control on Spidey's next outing.

"Well, I've known all those for very long. Amy Pascal, Tom Rothman who runs Sony now I've known for years, so it's been great, and they really are supportive in allowing us to make the creative decisions to make that movie, but they've been great partners, and uh, so far so good on that movie."

Without Marvel having the license back under their complete umbrella, this is by far the best option, and should provide fans a complete Marvel vision for the iconic character. Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to hit screens on July 7th, 2017.
