Batman: The Killing Joke Box Art, Dual Release Dates Officially Announced

Batman: The Killing Joke, an R-rated animated adaptation of the seminal work by Alan Moore and Brian Bolland, will officially come home on Digital HD on July 26, 2016, and Blu-ray and DVD on August 2, 2016.
The film features the return of Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamill as The Joker, reprising roles they started playing on Batman: The Animated Series in 1991 (just three years after The Killing Joke was originally published, incidentally). Bruce Timm and Sam Register executive produce the film, with Alan Burnett as co-producer. Sam Liu directs a script written by comicbook writer Brian Azzarello.
A special Deluxe Edition of the Blu-Ray combo pack will run $29.96, and includes a limited edition figurine of The Joker. The regular pack runs $24.98, and DVD runs $19.98.

The DVD will include a sneak peek at the next DC Universe Original animated Movie. The Blu-Ray (both editions) adds in a Featurette about the music of the film, a Featurette about the artistic process behind The Killing Joke, and two 22 minute episodes of Batman: The Animated Series, "Old Wounds" and "Christmas with the Joker."
