Actor Kenneth Choi is the latest addition to Sony and Marvel's upcoming joint venture Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The actor joins the talented cast of Spidey's latest relaunch as the principal at Peter Parker's school (according to Deadline). Peter will be played by Captain America: Civil War standout Tom Holland in his first solo feature in the iconic role.

This isn't Choi's first interaction with the Marvel Universe, however, as he was also a key member of Captain America's (Chris Evans) ragtag group of soldiers in his first solo film Captain America: The First Avenger. Choi played Jim Morita, a part he later reprised in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Choi joins a great cast that includes Holland (Spider-Man/Peter Parker), Marissa Tomei (Aunt May), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Zendaya (Michelle), and Michael Keaton in a yet undisclosed role, though most expect him to be the main villain, and some reports have him playing Spider-Man's foe The Vulture.

As for Choi, the actor is coming off of the incredibly well-received FX miniseries The People vs. O.J. Simpson, where he played Judge Lance Ito alongside Cuba Gooding Jr. (O.J. Simpson), Sarah Paulson (Marcia Clark), John Travolta (Robert Shapiro), Courtney B. Vance (Johnnie Cochran), and David Schwimmer (Robert Kardashian). Choi also starred as Henry Lin on the much loved Sons of Anarchy (also on FX), and played Chester Ming in Martin Scorsese's Wolf of Wall Street.

The Jon Watts directed film should start shooting soon, with an expected release date of July 17th, 2017.
