When you've been acting for as long as Michael Fassbender has, it is inevitable that there will be a performance from a scene or an entire film that you are embarrassed about. Last night at the Toronto Film Festival's Opening Night Soirée, Fassbender was the special guest, chatting about his career and the festival's charitable initiatives.

At one point, a career retrospective video played, including a scene from X-Men: Days of Future Past that Fassbender isn't proud of. Which scene is that? After Magneto was freed from his prison underneath the Pentagon, he, Charles Xavier, Wolverine, and Beast get on a plane and head toward Paris to stop Mystique. During their journey, Magneto and Professor X get into a shouting match, blaming each other for their ills.

"I don't actually like that performance there, to be honest," Fassbender said as the lights came up. "I just think it's me shouting. It's just like" — he made an angry face and flailed his arms around — "some dude shouting." "Too late now!" said moderator and TIFF artistic director Cameron Bailey. "I know," said Fassbender, laughing and burying his head in his hands. "Tell me about it." - Vulture

The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in Days of Future Past. The beloved characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from the past, X-Men: First Class, in order to change a major historical event and fight in an epic battle that could save our future.
