In September, Justice League director Zack Snyder shocked DC Comics fans everywhere by tweeting out an unexpected photo of Batman wearing a new tactical version of the batsuit on set.
Since then, the tactical Batsuit has been examined in depth and compared to past batsuits in hopes of unlocking any possible connection there was to be found. Now the man inside the suit, Ben Affleck, has offered his own description of the new tactical batsuit.
"There's two suits in Justice League," Affleck says in an interview with Extra. "One is the one that we've seen before, and then one that he augments because of the nature of the mission, which I can't give away. But it was a chance for them to play with the suit and add elements to it and kind of tech it out, and I thought they did a really good job. It was really fun."
Affleck also deflected some questions about his upcoming Batman solo movie, confirming only that he is directing and starring, and that is The Accountant co-star J.K. Simmons will be in it (as Commissioner Jim Gordon).
In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder, from a screenplay by Chris Terrio, and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa and Ray Fisher.
Justice League opens in theaters Nov. 17, 2017.
