After the enormous success of Marvel's Ant-Man, we've seen Scott Lang appear in other films in the connected universe. Lang, aka Ant-Man, had a giant-sized role in the airport battle of Captain America: Civil War.

While we've enjoyed seeing Ant-Man appear across the MCU, it's been a mystery as to whether or not we will see his love interest, and eventual partner, Hope Van Dyne pop up in any other films. They will both star in Ant-Man And The Wasp in 2018, but Hope hasn't been confirmed to appear anywhere else.

At the conclusion of Ant-Man, Hope was given the suit of The Wasp, a nod toward her becoming the character down the road. After the announcement of Ant-Man And The Wasp, that role was confirmed.

As the two will be developing a partnership, it would only make sense for the both of them to show their faces in one of the next Avengers installments, right?

The Wasp

The studio has been mum about the inclusion of many characters, but Wasp actress Evangeline Lilly confirmed her character's involvement at an interview during New York Comic Con.

The folks over at blastr had a chance to speak with Evangeline about Hope Van Dyne's future, and the actress let on a little more than expected. After talking about The Wasp getting her origin story in Ant-Man And The Wasp, she revealed her involvement with the Avengers franchise.

This is what she had to say regarding Hope's role beyond the Ant-Man sequel:

"Following that one, there's an Avengers series coming out, its a two-parter. The Wasp won't be in the first part, she'll be in the second part, because they really want to preserve theat reveal for Ant-Man And The Wasp."

The Avengers: Infinity War story will be broken up into two films. The first will release in May of 2018, just before Ant-Man And The Wasp is released. The second part will come in 2019, giving The Wasp a chance to develop on her own before being thrown into the Avengers.

Are you excited to see The Wasp joing the Avengers for the war against Thanos?
