On Saturday, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 filmmaker, James Gunn, treated his 362,966 Facebook followers with another one of his live question and answer sessions. And at one point, he let it be known that he would be open to directing a Marvel-Netflix television series, though he wouldn't have any interest in helming an episode of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders, or The Punisher.

A fan asked: "Would you ever consider directing a Netflix-Marvel TV show?"

"If it was under the right circumstances, maybe," Gunn replied. "But it would never be one that is preexisting; it would have to be the pilot of a new show."

So, which Marvel character could get their own Netflix series and entice Gunn to helm the pilot? He didn't say, but we do know Gunn was a HUGE fan of Howard the Duck when he was a kid, adoring "Steve Gerber's strange blend of funny animal comics, adult humor, and science fiction," and recently revealed that he has considered tackling a Nebula solo film — though a series would seem more likely.

Additionally, during the Q&A, he mentioned some more comic book characters — from the Marvel and DC universes — that he loved when he was younger.

"I loved Spider-Man an awful lot," he shared. "Huge Spider-Man fan. HUGE Batman fan. HUGE Howard the Duck fan. I think those were my three favorites. I loved Power Man and Iron Fist. I loved The Avengers, in general. Who else did I love? I loved Plastic Man. Oh! Green Arrow. I was a huge Green Arrow fan growing up. Shazam: The Original Captain Marvel. I loved Shazam a lot. Those were really some of my favorites. Vision. There were a lot of characters that I liked."

Set to the backdrop of 'Awesome Mixtape #2,' Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team's adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill's true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes' aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is written and directed by James Gunn (Slither). The film marks the return of the original Guardians, including Chris Pratt (Jurassic World) as Peter Quill/Star-Lord; Zoe Saldana (Star Trek Into Darkness) as Gamora; Dave Bautista (Spectre) as Drax; Vin Diesel (Furious 7) as the voice of Groot; Bradley Cooper (American Sniper) as the voice of Rocket; Michael Rooker (Jumper) as Yondu; Karen Gillan (The Big Short) as Nebula; and Sean Gunn (Gilmore Girls) as Kraglin. New cast members include Pom Klementieff (Oldboy), Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby, Everest), Chris Sullivan (The Knick, The Drop) and Kurt Russell (The Hateful Eight, The Thing).

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on May 5, 2017.
