The Force has been with Alden Ehrenreich this year. The up-and-coming actor has bee busying promoting his current slate of films while also celebrating his impending inclusion to the Star Wars universe. Earlier this summer, news broke that Ehrenreich would play a young Han Solo in Lucasfilm's Han Solo: A Star Wars Story to the delight of fans everywhere. Naturally, fans began wondering whether the actor would seek advice from Harrison Ford since the latter originated the role decades ago. But, so far, it doesn't look like a meet-up has taken place yet.

In an interview with Yahoo! Movies, the actor said he didn't have any current plans to meet Ford and that he had not bumped into him since being cast. However, Ehrenreich said he "would love to" chat with his senior if he got the chance.

Ehrenreich has not had the chance to meet Ford, but he has met up with another Han Solo co-star: Donald Glover. The actor told Yahoo! that the two have been introduced and that Glover is going to be a great addition to the film. "I think he's going to be real good in playing the role," Ehrenreich said.

If you are not familiar with Glover's involvement with Han Solo, then you were probably stranded on Hoth a few weeks ago. Lucasfilm confirmed the actor has been cast as a younger Lando Calrissian in Han Solo, so fans can look forward to seeing the sly smuggler do some runs with Ehrenreich's character.

Right now, fans can only guess at what Han and Lando will get up to in the next standalone film. Details about the project are being kept closely guarded, but Ehrenreich did say the crew's take on Han will be an exciting one.

"I think that the take that the directors - and everybody who is writing this move - has is very exciting. I felt that since the beginning when I started auditioning," he said. "I remember feeling like, 'Oh, they have a really cool outlook on this. They have a really great understanding of it.'"

In the coming year, fans are hoping to learn more about Han Solo and its top-secret cast. There is one character who fans can rest easy about; In an interview with Variety, Ehrenreich said Chewbacca would star in the standalone - though the reveal was not much of a spoiler.

Ehrenreich confirmed that Chewbacca would be in the film. However, the actor did not that the Wookie's inclusion was all but assured. "I know that's not a huge spoiler," Ehrenreich joked.

The actor did say we would see Chewbacca de-aged just as Han Solo is in the film. "He's as much younger as I am in the film," Ehrenreich explained. "So, I think he's like 190 — or something — years old. I don't think there's a huge growth spurt for him from 190 to 210, so he's probably about the same height."

The Star Wars Story films look to offer a unique take on the galaxy, starting with Gareth Edwards' direction of Rogue One. Even in the episodic films, the sequel trilogy of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: Episode VIII, and Star Wars: Episode IX all hired disparate directors with their own unique styles in J.J. Abrams, Rian Johnson, and Colin Trevorrow, respectively. It's clear the Lucasfilm, and 4-years-yesterday owner Disney, higher-ups want these movies to each feel like Star Wars, but also feel like a unique work from a unique directing team.
