Fans are excited to see what Deadpool 2 turns out to be, despite the creative team shakeup. While you're waiting for that project to take shape, though, why not bask in the brilliant photography from the original Deadpool.

Rhett Reese, who co-wrote the original film and is again working on the sequel with Paul Wernick, recently took to Twitter to share some stunning hi-res photos from the movie. The beautiful photography is the work of Joe Lederer, and it's filled with a variety of hi-res stills.

There's action closeups, stills that blend movie magic with behind the scenes reality, black and white shots, and even some character portraits. You can find a few highlights in the gallery, but for the full gallery make sure to head to Lederer's official website.

Now that Deadpool 2 has a new director at the helm, the focus becomes how the team can replicate the winning formula while adding enough to keep the premise fresh. As for Tim Miller, who directed the original movie, he wanted to clear some things up about the whole situation.

I just want to say one thing to the geek audience out there, because it's important to me what the geeks and nerds of the world think because they are my brothers and sisters. I didn't want to make some stylized movie that was 3 times the budget. If you read the internet — who cares, really? But for those of you who do, I wanted to make the same kind of movie that we made before because I think that's the right movie to make for the character. So don't believe what you read on the internet."

Deadpool's Holiday Blu-ray package is now available and retails for $25.99. Deadpool 2 is expected to begin filming next year and is due out January 12, 2018. Logan is expected to hit theaters March 2017.
