Millions of people still remember the opening to the Pokemon anime, a fast and furious montage of Ash Ketchum interacting with various Pokemon as Jason Paige croons about the importance of friendship and catching them all. Now, a British animator has updated the opening to the Pokemon anime, modeling the minute long montage in 3D for those who want to relive the opening moments of the Pokemon anime.

The video (posted above) was created by QuickDrawCreate, a YouTube channel that shows viewers how to animate characters from various Dreamworks, Disney, and Pokemon movies, games, and shows. The video captures every moment of the montage, from Mew and Mewtwo floating in outer space, to Ash running alongside an Arcanine, to Professor Oak and Ash's mom giving nods of encouragement.

While the humans in the video look a little weird (a byproduct of converting characters from 2D to 3D), the Pokemon are a real treat to see in 3D. Although we've seen Pokemon in 3D before thanks to the Nintendo 3DS and Pokemon video games, this video was made using some of the same software as Disney and other animation giants.

QuickDrawCreate has made several other Pokemon videos before, so be sure to give their YouTube channel a look!
