Dragon Ball fans may have a thing against non-canon concepts, but Broly and Super Saiyan 4 just won't go away. The legendary villain found fame thanks to the Dragon Ball Z films, and the fourth Super Saiyan transformation wowed in Dragon Ball GT. Now, the two sins have been combined, and fans aren't sure whether they love or hate the result.

If you aren't familiar with Super Dragon Ball Heroes, then it is time to introduced yourself to the video game franchise. Recently, the seventh installment released its entire opening sequence online, and the anime reel saw a masked version of Broly hulk out and go Super Saiyan 4 for real.

In the past, Dragon Ball Heroes has seen Broly go Super Saiyan 4, but this is the first time fans can see it in anime action. The transformation was first used in the manga Dragon Ball Heroes: Victory Mission. The story followed Broly as the baddie was controlled by Genome and send to hunt the Shadow Dragons for their Dragon Balls.

When it comes to Super Dragon Ball Heroes, Broly can strut his Super Saiyan 4 form and then some. According to past leaks, the character has a rather long name in the game's latest mission. SSJ4 Broly was not good enough; Instead, the game chose to go with Full Power Super Saiyan 4 Dark Dragonball Time Breaker Broly.

Whew. That was a mouthful.

So far, Dragon Ball Heroes is not playing around with its use of SSJ4 Broly. The game's new trailer, which can be seen up above, shows the baddie going against SSJ4 Broly and more without much issue. The game has hinted the transformation makes Broly an ultimate warrior, so he might just be the strongest guy in the franchise. That is, for right now.

Dragon Ball Super's "Universal Survival" saga is part of the recent simulcast agreement that sites like Crunchyroll and Funimation have scored. Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami airs the English dub on Adult Swim Saturdays at 11:30 p.m.
