PlayStation 4 May Be Getting A Swanky New Gold Model Very Soon

Want to feel a little more opulent as you lounge on the couch in your underwear playing Call of Duty? Well, Sony may have you covered, as it seems a swanky new gold PlayStation 4 Slim model is on the way.

This leak comes courtesy of Redditor Marmaro8, who posted a convincing photo of a gold 1TB PlayStation 4 Slim, along with the information that the sexy new model could be coming as soon as June 9. Our Redditor didn't elaborate on how they came by this information, but I would assume he works for a video game retailer of some sort. Unfortunately, Marmaro8 pulled his picture off Imgur, but the Internet never forgets. You can check out the gold PS4 in the tweet, below.

This isn't the first time Sony has released a gold PS4, but the previous one was much harder to come by as it was only available via a Taco Bell contest. Only a small number of these Taco Bell gold consoles were made, and they sold for big bucks on eBay afterwards. Hopefully, you won't have to gorge yourself on chalupas to get your hands on this new model. Not that gorging on chalupas is a bad thing – I just like it to be optional.

It seems likely this leak is legit, Sony has already released a gold DualShock 4 after all, but on the off chance it isn't, there's still a fairly easy way to get a gold PS4. Just head on over to Colorware and have them custom paint you a PS4 (or Nintendo Switch, or any other console you desire).
