Grand Theft Auto Online’s Latest Update Introduces Motor Wars, Discounts

Hope you like driving competitively in Grand Theft Auto Online, because this week brings all sorts of motorized mayhem to the table.

Rockstar Games has announced that it has introduced a new mode to the game this week, as part of its latest update. This mode is called Motor Wars, and is part of the recently introduced Smuggler's Run Expansion.

"Four teams of up to 28 players parachute into a desolate warzone armed with only a pistol and a knife, and race to get hold of weapons and Weaponized Vehicles. As the clock ticks and the boundaries close around the remaining survivors, you'll fend off enemy onslaughts and eliminate the opposing teams. Swoop in, stock up and roll out as you battle to be the last team standing across seven maps, from the winding streets of Vinewood Hills in Los Santos to the clear sightlines of Sandy Shores in Blaine County."

The event will provide Double GTA$ and RP through September 11th, so it doesn't hurt to jump in and get started.

On top of that, players can unlock the White Shrewsbury Logo Tee, pictured above, simply by logging into the game between now and September 11th.

"Launch Premium Races through the Quick Job App on your in-game phone or via the yellow corona at Legion Square. The top three finishers will earn GTA$ and you'll get Triple RP regardless of where you place. To take a shot at the Time Trial, set a waypoint to the marker on your in-game map and enter via the purple corona. Beat par time and you'll be duly rewarded with GTA$ & RP payouts," the company noted in its press release.

Grand Theft Auto Online is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, as part of Grand Theft Auto V.
