It wasn't too long ago that Nintendo blew our minds with its latest Nintendo Direct special, working alongside Bethesda to bring two more of its popular franchises to the Switch handheld/console – Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and Doom.

And while we'll have to wait until next year to see B.J. Blazkowicz do his thing in Wolfenstein, Doom has been slated for a holiday release – and now, thanks to a Czech retailer site, we might have a better idea when it's coming out.

The site, going under the name Kuma.cz, indicates that the game will be coming our way on December 13th – just in time for the holidays.

Now, Bethesda hasn't confirmed an exact release date for the title, indicating only that it was coming out during the holidays. However, if this date rings true, it could look good for Nintendo in time for Christimas, giving them one last killer title for fans to pick up within the 12 days leading up to the holiday. Nothing beats a last-minute gift, right?

Doom

And the release date, if it's true, would fit well with Bethesda's logic in terms of pacing out popular releases for the Nintendo handheld. Skyrim: Special Edition, which was also talked about during the Nintendo Direct special, is coming out in November, so a December release would make sense for Doom, giving fans the time to pick up both releases, and still be prepared for Wolfenstein II whenever it drops in 2018.

On top of that, Doom could combine with Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for a good one-two punch for the Switch, since that game is slated to arrive on December 1st, earlier in the month. That date is confirmed, even if this one isn't.

Whatever the case, Doom will make for a good holiday release for the system, allowing us to get that Christmas and/or Hannukah aggression out of the way by stomping on a few demon heads and laying waste to them with an arsenal of weaponry. Sure beats getting in a fight at the dinner table, huh?

If you want to check out Doom now, it's available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
