The Xbox One X console arrives next month, and while some gamers are still on the fence about whether or not they need to upgrade, that isn't stopping developers from expressing their appreciation for Microsoft's new hardware.

In this particular case, Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata has stepped up to talk about the Xbox One X, expressing his opinion on how great it is.

Speaking with MCVUK, Tababa noted, "Personally, I don't feel that we have reached the limit (on consoles.) The Xbox One X is a highly attractive console for developers. I feel like I have always been waiting for a powerful Xbox like that."

And it seems to be making notable improvements on a number of games that are already out – Final Fantasy XV included. Tabana noted that the game's load times will now be faster, thanks to its checkerboard rendering system. On top of that, the frame rate will also see a boost, going "over 30fps as well." (An exact speed wasn't given, but rest assured, the game will look very pretty.)

Tabata and his team have already been hard at work on it is on the Windows edition of Final Fantasy XV, which was announced a few weeks ago. He already noted that the hardware for the Windows Edition has been 100 times easier to develop for than the console version, and the Xbox One X edition could possibly be the same when it comes to improvements.

That said, it has yet to be seen whether the Xbox One edition of the game will be getting what the Windows version is getting – a first-person mode that really takes advantages of the 4K/8K capabilities that most of modern hardware is capable of. We'll just have to wait and see what the company has in mind for it.

The Windows version of Final Fantasy XV is set to arrive sometime next year, but the improvements to the Xbox One X version of the game should be on day one, provided Square Enix green lights an update that players can apply immediately to it. We'll let you know what the team has in mind.

Final Fantasy XV is available now for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
