Jessica Chastain recently confirmed that she has joined the cast of X-Men: Dark Phoenix as Lilandra and now further casting news may be giving fans a tease about the upcoming movie's details.

That Hashtag Show reports that Kota Eberhardt has been cast as a supporting character codenamed "Luna." There aren't a lot of details available about the character outside of the original casting call description which describes the character as "female, mid-late 20s, open to all ethnicities. Beautiful, could possibly have a severe look. Luna is intense and exudes a sense of power. Although she is a commanding presence, she is also slightly unhinged."

Also joining the cast of the latest X-Men installment is Scott Shepherd as Dr. John Grey, father of Jean Grey, played by Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner.

Additionally, two actors from 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past are also in talks to join the Dark Phoenix cast. Evan Jonigkeit, who played Toad, and Gregg Lowe, who played Ink, may both return. The additions of Toad and Ink to the character roster may add credence to a rumor that Magneto bringing together the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants in the film.

Dark Phoenix is based on one of the most popular X-Men stories of all time and follows young Jean Grey as she fully taps into her telepathic and telekinetic powers. The film is set in the 1990s.
