Paul Bettany might play one of the Avengers' more serious members, but it looks like he's having some fun on the set of Avengers 4.

Bettany newest Instagram post shows the actor in his full Vision costume (with VFX dots, of course), standing next to a member of the film's crew who is clad in a hot dog suit. You can check it out below.

Poor Ryan was late to work today and is wearing the hotdog of shame.

For some fans, this Instagram post is a blessing, as it seems to indicate that Vision will survive the events of Avengers: Infinity War and be around in Avengers 4. While that definitely could be true, the fact that Bettany is wearing visual effects dots where the Mind Stone is housed could hint at something more.

Fellow Marvel stars Evangeline Lilly and Gwyneth Paltrow recently shared particularly telling photos on social media, which fans have now begun to theorize could be for some sort of flashback sequence. Bettany's costume seeming to include the Mind Stone could support this, especially since someone on Thanos' (Josh Brolin) team is shown taking the stone from Vision in the Infinity War trailer.

Possibly, Vision either gets the Mind Stone back by the time Avengers 4 rolls around, or some other sort of power source is put in its place. Or, as we suggested, Vision could be missing in action from the main events of Avengers 4, but still factor in as a sort of flashback sequence.

Either way, fans can expect a cinematic event unlike any other with both films, as Bettany hinted earlier this year.

"It felt like the biggest movie that I've ever made and will ever make, and we've still got to make the [next] one." Bettany said of Infinity War back in August. "It's f**king crazy! I would come in, often at dawn because of the length of my makeup, and there would just be all of these twinkling lights. It looked like a town, but it wasn't. It was where all of the trailers were. It was just massive. It's massive! The call sheets are bananas. When you see the list of cast members, you're like, 'How is anybody else making a film in Hollywood this year? How are they getting films financed? Everybody is in this!'"

Thor: Ragnarok is now playing in theaters. Other upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movies include; Black Panther on February 16, 2018, Avengers: Infinity War on May 4, 2018, Ant-Man and the Wasp on July 6, 2018, Captain Marvel on March 8, 2019, the fourth Avengers movie on May 3, 2019, the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming on July 5, 2019, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in 2020.
