3) Death Trooper
Introduced in the opening sequence of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the mere visage of the Death troopers struck fear in audiences' minds. Stormtroopers have long been known to wear bright white armor, so for this elite squadron to opt for a much less conspicuous outfit must mean they get themselves into some pretty serious situations.
Additionally, the squad of Death troopers appeared to be the go-to task force of Director Krennic in the film, who had proven himself to be a ruthless leader. Any trooper carrying out his actions must not be afraid to do whatever necessary in any situation, no matter how deadly or immoral.
Despite their intimidating appearance in Rogue One, the troopers didn't get to display much of their treachery as many would have hoped in the film, making the troopers appear all the more mysterious.
prevnext2) Stormtrooper
Throughout the course of the original trilogy, fans got to see Snowtroopers, Scout troopers, and the classic version, the Stormtrooper.
The infantry members of the Galactic Empire might have appeared to be a force to be reckoned with, but audiences saw countless troopers fall victim to the hands of the Rebellion. Even though these troopers might have appeared to be nothing more than fodder for the Rebels to cut through, one of the strengths of these troopers is that they were seemingly infinite in number. No matter how many were cut down by the Rebels, two more would spring up to take their place.
The classic Stormtrooper model was given an upgrade with the creation of the First Order in The Force Awakens, proving that if a concept isn't broke, don't fix it.
prevnext1) Clone Trooper
Following the reputation of Stormtroopers being nothing more than targets in the original trilogy, the prequel trilogy showed audiences that the Clone troopers, which paved the way for Stormtroopers, were a force to be reckoned with.
Modeled after the bounty hunter Jango Fett, Clone troopers were created for the sole purpose of uniting together to take down any threat put in their way, even if it meant carrying out Order 66 and the destruction of virtually all Jedi. These troopers might not have been given much screen time in the live-action films, but the Clone Wars TV series allowed audiences to get even more familiar with just how strong these clones could be when united together, easily carrying out any mission they were given.
