Not Slytherin, eh? Are you sure? You could be great, you know. It’s all here in your head. And Slytherin will help you on the way to greatness, there’s no doubt about that. No? Well if you’re sure, better be… HUFFLEPUFF!
A week and a half ago, a Reddit user, Kittenghost1, posted a comic book page that features Deadpoolโdressed as a Harry Potter fanโgetting a copy of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince at its midnight release. But before he can read it, a troll drives by and shouts out spoilers from the bookโwhich is something that actually happened to fans in real-life.

What makes it so interesting? As you can see, Deadpool’s robe is yellow and blackโthe house colors of Hufflepuff. That got fans wondering if that was done on purpose. It was!
Nick Filardi, the colorist of that issue, saw the Reddit post and revealed what happened behind-the-scenes. “Fun fact: I’m the colorist for that story and originally made him a Gryffindor,” Filardi shared. “We went back and forth on a couple rounds of corrections and the editors insisted Hufflepuff. That isn’t a casual joke. That’s deliberate Deadpool canon.” And why did he want the Merc with a Mouth to be Gryffindor? “I just assumed you know…. bravery? Takes guts to do what Deadpool does.,” he said.
