The Erebus label was formed last March where Temple was announced as the studio’s first feature film with John Stockwell (Top Gun, WWE’s upcoming Countdown) directing. The story of Temple follows a team of highly-trained operatives who find themselves trapped inside an isolated military compound after its A. I. is suddenly shut down. There, they begin to experience strange and horrific phenomena as they attempt to uncover who or what killed the team previously stationed at the compound.
“It’s exciting to find myself in a genre I have always wanted to explore,” Snipes said. “We are looking forward to a great brand collaboration with Erebus, WWE and Gene.”
WWE Studios will use the flagship’s promotional platform to launch the film when it’s available. WWE Studios will handle the North American sales and Voltage Pictures will handle international sales.
Rollins has been rumored to return for a while now, but he could finally come back to the WWE after shooting has wrapped for Temple.
