The studio has released a few of those clips ahead of time, including a scene that was prevalent in the trailers but went missing from the final cut. In the scene, Casey Jones (Stephen Amell) and April O’Neil (Megan Fox) are attempting to go unnoticed, with Jones going for the “kiss to remain unnoticed” method that seemingly works every time. Reality dictates that in actuality, that will probably do the opposite, and the banter between the two is quite good.

The second scene is between O’Neil and Vernon Fenwick (Will Arnett), who has found an inventive side hustle that profits from all his hot air. The scene doesn’t add much in terms of character development or furthering of the plot, but it’s humorous nonetheless. Neither of these are true losses, but the first scene is significantly better than the latter.

The third and final scene is between O’Neil and Amell and features some nice dialogue and overall chemistry between the two stars. Also evident is the familial relationship O’Neil has developed with the Turtles, like when she lovingly refers to Raphael’s description of her “rabbit food”.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows was a decent success, but it didn’t earn what the studio expected by a long shot. Out of the Shadows earned over $82 million domestically and over $245 million worldwide. The original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles earned over double that amount at just over $493 worldwide.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is out now on Digital HD, and will release on Blu-ray and DVD on September 20th.
