Christmas is the holiday where people often find that the desire for the gift under the tree on that special day is almost as fulfilling as the moment they actually tear the wrapping off. From childhood to adulthood, wanting that special Christmas gift is a tradition that never fades.

The same goes for DC Extended Universe movie characters. If you’ve ever read a DC comic book in December, you’ve been treated to any number of Christmas-themed yarns starring your favorite superheroes and villains.

Taking our knowledge of both the DCEU and the potential for holiday miracles in the DC Comics Universe, we’ve put together a list of what 5 of your favorite DCEU characters would want for Christmas.

NEXT: What Marvel Characters Want for Christmas

Lex Luthor – Death of Christmas Myths

Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor has proven himself to be a no good bastard who loves nothing more than mind-f*cking his enemies before destroying them.ย

Given his painful past of abuse and neglect at the hands of his father, Lex would probably want one thing for Christmas: to ruin the experience for everyone else.ย

Lex is the type to tell a room full of children that, “Santa cannot be all-powerful, AND all good!”ย before just breaking down and telling them that Santa, Jesus and every holiday spirit in between was complete B.S. He’s like a Grinch, onlyย nerdier.ย

Deadshot – Visitation Rights

Will Smith’s Floyd Lawton/Deadshot may be the world’s deadliest marksman assassin, but underneath that badass exterior, he’s also just a dedicated dad.ย

For Christmas, Deadshot would want just one thing: the ability to spend time with his daughter, Zoe. Being Deadshot, of course, he may also want a few stolen goods to pass on to his daughter as Christmas gifts. Even when he’s being nice, he’s still a little bit naughty…ย

The Flash – Potluck Dinner

As Barry Allen/The Flash (Ezra Miller) told Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) in theย Justice Leagueย trailer: he needs friends.ย In order to earn himself some of those friendships, Barry doesn’t need a gift: he needs a social event. And there’s nothing better to bring lonely misfits together during the holidays like a good potluck dinner.ย

Given his powers, Barry should be able to bring quite the sampling of food to the party – giving him an early lead in the race to make new friends.ย

Superman – Peace on Earth

Henry Cavill’s Superman may be a more edgy and violent depiction of the character than a lot of fans are familiar (or comfortable) with, but he’s still aย Kansas farm boy, at heart.ย

Even in (temporary) death, there’s no doubt that Kal-El/Clark Kent/Superman would wish for just one thing on Christmas: for earth and everyoneย on it to know a day of peace and warmth, just like those old Kansas Christmases with Ma and Pa.ย

Batman – Metahuman Protocols

Ben Affleck’s Batman is not exactly ‘the trusting type.’ Even as he makes new friends amongst the aliens, immortals, and metahumans of the Justice League, Bruce Wayne/Batman isn’t likely to ignore the fact that those powerful allies could one day become enemies.ย

Following the tradition of DC Comics storylines like “Tower of Babel,” Batman would probably want one thing above all else for Christmas: intel on how neutralize and/or kill every superpowered being on Earth.ย

Honorable Mention: Alfred Pennyworth – New Wayne Family Heir

Get to work, Bruce!ย
