Tom Holland became the third actor to play Spider-Man in a major motion picture when he made his debut in Captain America: Civil War, following Tobey Maguire in the original Spider-Man trilogy and Andrew Garfield in The Amazing Spider-Man films. So how does Holland stack up to his predecessors?

That question was posed to Anthony Mackie, one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe actors who shared the screen with him in Captain America: Civil War, at Wizard World Cleveland over the weekend. Mackie plays Sam Wilson, the Falcon, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and he had quite the fight with Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War.
That hasn’t left Mackie bitter, though. The actor believes Holland is the best cinematic Spider-Man yet. “I think he’s going to be a kick-ass Spider-Man,” Mackie said. “I think he’s going to be the best Spider-Man yet.”
Holland’s debut went over pretty well, but fans will have to wait until July to see how Holland does as the leading man of Spider-Man: Homecoming. Fans certainly seem to be looking forward to the occasion as Spider-Man: Homecoming has a 4.08 out of 5 user anticipation rating, making it the seventh most anticipated upcoming comic book movie among ComicBook.com readers.
