In the last episode of The Flash, Barry Allen, who is fed up with villains from the future always being a step ahead of him, declares he will travel to the future to find out the identity of Savitar. When the show returns next week, Barry will successfully arrive in 2024, and there, he will see how the death of Iris West has impacted him and his team. It's not a pretty sight.
Today, The CW has released a whole slew of images from the upcoming episode, which is titled "The Once and Future Flash." They feature Barry and Joe West visiting the grave of Iris. We also get our first look at the return of Mirror Master (guest star Grey Damon) and Top (guest star Ashley Rickards) as well as a lot of behind-the-scenes snaps of Tom Cavanagh directing his fellow castmates.

Barry (Grant Gustin) travels to the future to find out Savitar's still unknown identity in the hopes of saving Iris (Candice Patton). Upon his arrival in 2024, Barry encounters future versions of his Team Flash friends, who, following the death of Iris, have become very different people, profoundly impacted by their showdown with Savitar. It will be up to Barry to infuse a sense of hope back into the team, as he proves to be hero his future friends have been waiting for. Meanwhile, back in 2017, the hunt for Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) continues.
Tom Cavanagh directed the episode written by Carina Adly MacKenzie.

Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti (Arrow, Supergirl), Andrew Kreisberg (Arrow, The Flash), Sarah Schechter (Arrow, DC's Legends of Tomorrow) and Aaron and Todd Helbing.
"The Once and Future Flash" episode will air Tuesday, April 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
