Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 is almost here, and the trailers continue to spotlight the team’s chemistry and humor, and the latest clips from the film are no different. The team is beloved for a reason, and Guardians Vol. 2 seems to have the same hilarious banter between favorites like Rocket, Star-Lord, Gamora, and Drax. Oh, and of course Baby Groot.

The team is front and center in five brand new pieces of footage, but Nebula, Mantis, Ego, and more all make appearances as well. If you loved the first trailer, you’re in for a treat, as “the Death Button” bit from that trailer is presented here in full. The fun doesn’t stop there either, as the next clip presents a hilarious exchange between Drax and Rocket, and is instantly quotable. Also included are new bits of B-Roll footage showing more behind the scenes work, and a vocal behind the scenes bit shows Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel at work on Rocket and Groot.

The Death Button
In a sequence that pretty much stole the show in the original Guardians Vol. 2 trailer, Rocket explains to Baby Groot how not to blow up a bomb with a detonator, imploring him to avoid using what he terms “the death button”
Unfortunately for Rocket, well, it just doesn’t seem to be taking, as after a few trial runs Baby Grootย still is having a hard time not hitting it. It doesn’t seem that Rocket’s whole “duct tape” method is going to work either.
Sovereign Fleet
This clip features the most significant new piece of footage seen yet, though there have been previous glimpses of the team flying the ship againstย what looks like a small army of smaller ships, seemingly from Ayesha’s forces.
The reason why? Well, that would be because a certain raccoon who will remain nameless (unless Drax sells him out that is) stole something from them. Shocking as it may seem, they didn’t take too kindly to that and now want it back. Despite the chaos he caused, it provides an opportunity for one of the funniest Draxย lines thus far, and that’s really worth all the trouble right?
Behind The Scenes B-Roll Part 1
Seeing how this all comes together is always interesting, especially when a blue or green screen is involved.ย There’s plenty of Gamora and Nebula in this footage, from what looks like the scene where Nebula is chasing Gamoraย down in a ship. At some point, it seems to crash, and Gamoraย is seen pulling her out of the wreckage.
There’s also plenty of Zoeย Saldanaย working wires, like the scene in which she’s cutting through the Abilisk. Draxย can also be seen inside the Abiliskย covered in guts and slime.
Behind The Scenes B-Roll Part 2
In the second set of B-Roll footage, the meeting betweenย Kurt Russell (Ego) and Chris Pratt (Star-Lord) is focused on, as is a romantic dancing scene between Star-Lord and Gamora.
In addition to those and other scenes featuring Yonduย and Mantis, director James Gunn can also be seen giving a thank you to Kurt Russell on his final day of shooting. Russell expresses his gratitudeย for letting him be a part of such a project like Guardians. Gunnย is also seen in the next scene giving Chris Pratt a similar sendoffย once shooting has concluded.ย
Voice Cast B-Roll
It’s one thing to see the finished product on film, but for characters like Rocket Raccoon and Groot, there is so much more involved in bringing them to the screen.
In the final shot of new footage, actor Bradley Cooper can be seen voicing some of his scenes in the vocal booth, sporting a rather bushy beard (presumably for another role). Fans also get a quick peek at Vin Diesel voicing the character of Groot, though his lines will have a few effects on them presumably since Grootย vocal range is so much higher this time around.
