While audiences still have to wait a couple of weeks to catch Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 in theaters, the film has been screened on a couple of occasions. Many members of the press saw the movie on Monday night, and the who’s who of Marvel was present for the red carpet premiere on Wednesday.

Following both screenings, those in attendance have been raving about how great the space-sequel is. The Press was overwhelmingly positive on Monday evening, and the folks at last night’s premiere seem to have the same kind of reactions.
James Gunn‘s peers – the other directors in the MCU – were some of the people who loved the film the most. A few of them even shared their adoration on Twitter over the last couple of days.
Check out what the other Marvel directors had to say about Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2.
Taika Waititi
The Thor: Ragnarokย director has been present for many of the Guardians Of The Galaxy premiere events, and he has had plenty of fun palling around with James Gunn.
It’s evident Waititiย appreciates Gunn’s style, as the first trailer for Ragnarokย showed a very similar tone. The colors are bright, the music is awesome, and the humor is roped right in with the action.
It’s not a surprise that Taika is a big fan of Vol. 2.

Peyton Reed
Peyton Reed is the man in charge of bringing Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man to life, and he’s an enormous fan of his fellow Marvel directors.
Reed will often go back and forth with James Gunn, Taika Waititi, and Scott Derricksonย on Twitter, trading jokes for all of us to enjoy.ย
In his own words, Reed considers one character in Guardians 2 Oscar-worthy.
Just saw @JamesGunn‘s GotGVol2! Mark my words: next year, Baby Groot will unseat Tatum O’Neal as the youngest actor to ever win an Oscar.

Scott Derrickson
While Scott Derricksonย has been known for his stellar horror films, he made a seamless transition into big-budget blockbusters with last year’s hit, Doctor Strange.
As the director noted, almost everyone who has seen Guardians Vol. 2 has responded with nothing but praise.
Press screening reactions to @JamesGunn‘s Guardians of the Galaxy 2 are beyond effusive – it’s exceeding the highest of expectations.
