Thursday’s Los Angeles premiere of Wonder Woman brought fans and actors alike together to celebrate the film’s release. This was thanks, in part, to increased security at the venue, according to Reuters.

The Pantages Theatre in Hollywood was outfitted with extra bag checks, bomb sniffer dogs, and an increased police presence. This is after the film’s May 31st London premiere was previously cancelled, following the bombing at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester that left 22 dead.

Wonder Woman‘s cast and crew offered their condolences about the Manchester attack during the premiere’s red carpet.

“All of our eyes on the UK right now,” explained the film’s director, Patty Jenkins, “and we’re heartbroken. It’s not the time to celebrate anything and I’m only happy that we really did make a movie about love and trying to be better people. That’s the message that needs to be out in the world right now but it’s not a time to celebrate anything else.”

Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot, echoed this sentiment.

“I think it was a good idea not to do the premiere in London.” Gadot revealed. “As an Israeli, I can tell you we always say we need to celebrate life, and life is stronger than anything and now we’re trying to celebrate life, right? So it’s mixed feelings but the show must go on, I guess.”

The film will be released on June 2, 2017.
