Lilly is set to reprise her role of Hope Van Dyne in Ant-Man and the Wasp, this time taking on a costume and mom’s alter ego as the titular co-star. The actor posted a shot of her jacked self on Instagram to celebrate her first day of shooting.

After taking a turn in a business suit for the first Ant-Man movie, Lilly is expected to figure prominently in the superhero action alongside Paul Rudd as Scott Lang.

The movie will also continue the Pym/Van Dyne family saga, with Michelle Pfeifer joining the cast as one of Marvel Comics’ original Avengers Janet Van Dyne.

In Ant-Man, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym alluded to Janet’s tragic fate, saying that she was lost in the Quantum Realm after a heroic sacrifice. So expect an explosive family reunion in the sequel.

It’s awesome to see that both generations of the Wasp are set to figure prominently in the new film. While Lilly’s character kicked Rudd’s ass in the first film, we’re looking forward to her laying the smack down on whatever baddies unfortunate enough to cross her.

From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink: Ant-Man and The Wasp. In the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang (Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to balance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne (Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas) with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.

Ant-Man and The Wasp hits theaters on July 6, 2018.
