The episode will see the Legends deal with a new anachronism without Sara’s (Caity Lotz) assistance as she is still out of commission and that anachronism happens to be in Vietnam’s jungles right in the middle of the Vietnam War. Ray (Brandon Routh,) Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers,) and Zari (Tala Ashe) pose as journalists covering the conflict while Nate (Nick Zano) and Mick (Dominic Purcell) pose as military.

However, both groupings of Legends run into the unexpected. Nate and Rory run into someone Rory knows, giving a glimpse into Mick’s past while the others run into a time-displaced Gorilla Grodd. Unfortunately for the team, Grodd isn’t just hanging out in the wrong jungle. He’s trying to turn the Vietnam conflict into World War III, something that the Legends definitely need to prevent from happening.
As for Mick’s unexpected encounter, it was reported last month that the episode will see an appearance by Dick Rory (played by Evan James,) Mick’s father. Unlike Grodd, the elder Rory sn’t time displaced. He’s a soldier in 1960s Vietnam, but his weapon of choice will come as no surprise to fans of Mick.
“Welcome to the Jungle” will air on Tuesday, November 21st at 9/8c on The CW.
