It sounds like one of Supergirl's most prominent relationships could soon have an unexpected reveal.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Supergirl cast member Amy Jackson was asked about the sort of love triangle between her character, Imra Ardeen/Saturn Girl, Mon-El (Chris Wood), and Kara Danvers/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist). While she wouldn't hint if "Karamel" could eventually reunite, she teased that Imra and Mon-El's marriage might be more than meets the eye.

"In the next episodes, more will unravel," Jackson revealed. "Obviously, I can't reveal too much, but there is a twist and the turn in the plot for sure."

Fans have speculated about this almost since Imra arrived on the show, with some suggesting that Imra could actually be using her telepathic powers to somehow manipulate Mon-El. Jackson has also hinted at the marriage having some sort of twist in the past, although fans will have to wait and see exactly what that is.

For Jackson, being part of a show with such a passionate fandom has been a unique experience, especially because she had actually been rooting for Kara and Mon-El to get together.

"Can I be honest? I was a fan of the show before and I was also a Karamel [shipper] before I even signed the show," Jackson recently told ComicBook.com. "So I am actually a fan of them also, but I think because I did my homework about the character itself, I knew I was getting into a sticky situation because it's already formed a relationship beforehand with Mon-El and Kara, but I know that this character is going to be very appreciated and loved because she is a strong character in herself."

"I think in this [week's episode, "Fort Rozz",] especially, there's a bond between Supergirl and Saturn Girl, which is nice." Jackson continued. "It's not all directly about the relationship and being Mon-El's wife. I think that's a totally different side to what people have seen before. I'm excited for people to see that, and to hopefully be accepted more into the Supergirl world."

Supergirl airs Mondays at 8/7c on The CW.
