‘Boruto’ Just Introduced The Akatsuki’s Successors

Naruto fans will be familiar with the name Akatsuki, but Kara may not be part of the vocabulary just yet. However, the word is one readers will want to know.

After all, the organization does look like it’ll be the second-coming of the Akatsuki.

Boruto‘s 15th chapter finally introduced the shadowy group, and fans are eager to learn more about the team. There is little fans know about Kara save for its name and presumed leader. In Japanese, Kara means ‘shell’ or ‘husk,’ and neither definition sounds promising for the ninja world’s peace.

As for its members, Boruto has only mentioned one by name. Sir Jigen is assumed to be the leader, and his vacant expression makes him all the more terrifying. As you can see below, Jigen has pitch-black eyes and a triangular mark sealed on his chin. The man also wears a hooded robe like the rest of Kara’s members, but he is the only one allowed to sit during the organization’s meeting.

The rest of Kara’s fighters are being kept a secret from fans. Five other members have been shown so far, and each one looks rather unique. The group contains a girl like curly hair, a hunched elderly man, and a lumbering ninja with a beard for starters.

The organization doesn’t appear to be up to anything good; Kara is thought to have been keeping tabs on Boruto, and their use of seal marks has got fans thinking.

In the first episode of Boruto, fans watched as an older Boruto went head-to-head with another ninja named Kawaki. The men both had extensive seals tattooed on them, and fans are wondering if the pair meet through Kara. Kawaki has yet to be introduced, so the boy could become a new member of the group. Boruto could also end up seeking the organization out to learn about his mysterious marks, but fans can agree on one thing. If Kara is connected to Momoshiki, then there’s little good that can come out of the group.
