Warning! Spoilers for Dragon Ball Super‘s 109th episode lie below!
Dragon Ball Super fans have been waiting for its next episode, and the anime doesn’t look like it will disappoint. When the series returns next, it will do so with a one-hour special detailing Goku’s fight with Jiren. And, thanks to a new synopsis, fans have learned they won’t be the only ones shocked by the two-part premiere.

Earlier today, Weekly Shonen Jump synopses hit the Internet early, and Korean translations of Dragon Ball Super‘s 109th episode went live. Todd Blankenship helped put together a translation of the leaks, and you can read part of the new description below:
“Goku This Week: Vegeta’s amazed too! Using the ace-in-the-hole Genki Dama! Even as Super Saiyan Blue, Goku is unable to scratch Jiren, so he challenges him with his strongest attack, the Genki Dama. Will it work against Jiren who still seems to have power to spare?”

The synopsis’ latter half proves that Goku will not be the only taken back by Jiren’s strength. The fighter has kept his presence to a minimum during the Tournament of Power so far, but the Pride Trooper will finally show out for Goku in two weeks. The gods of Universe 11 will tell Jiren to take out the Saiyan soon enough, and Vegeta will be left amazed at the fighter’s strength. After all, any enemy who is strong enough to make Goku use a Spirit Bomb has to be impressive.
Vegeta’s shock – and awe – will be important to remember as Dragon Ball Super moves forward. Titles have been released for the anime’s episodes after the special, and one of them hints at a do-or-die moment for Vegeta. Episode 112 has been tentatively titled “Vegeta’s Resolve,” and fans have speculated the episode may see the Saiyan sacrifice himself to give Goku a one-up against Jiren. So, it will be worth paying close attention to how Vegeta reacts to Jiren when the latter shows his true power on Dragon Ball Super.
Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami will begin airing the English dub on Adult Swim Saturdays at 11:30 p.m.
