‘Dragon Ball Super’ Episode 113 Recap With Spoilers

The episode begins with Caulifla and Goku fighting. The girl is in her Super Saiyan 2 form while the latter is in his base. Goku manages to unleash a flurry of attacks, but Kale comes out of nowhere to help her friend. The girls attack Goku, but he goes Super Saiyan 3 to Caulifla’s surprise. The episode then moves into its opening theme song, relegating its intro scene as a flash-forward.

When the episode begins again, Goku is facing off against a trio of three robots. He says he still has more power to show, but Caulifla disbands the trio so she can fight Goku. The man says it was a real help, and then Caulifla goes Super Saiyan to issue a challenge. Goku gets into stance while Kale watches them from behind a boulder. Caulifla says she wants to fight because she could not do anything about Cabba and Hit being taken out. She wants Goku to teach her how to go Super Saiyan 2 and SSJ3. Goku says he will teach her if she an take up the new forms as they battle.

Krillin asks if Goku plans to fight in his base against SSJ Caulifla. Champa tells his fighter to take Goku out while he is weak, but Beerus says Goku is the only one who can beat Jiren. Universe 6 hopes to win not by beating Universe 11 outright but by having more fighters around when the tournament ends. Vados compliments Champa’s plan.

With Caulifla, the girl says she will beat Goku soon enough. She begins her attack, but Goku is able to counter them even while she is in SSJ. Krillin notes he is getting pushed back, and Zeno is amazed as usual by their speed. Goku manages to land a kick on Caulifla, and Goku says she will not beat him like this. She cannot understand why Goku is this good even in his base form. Champa cannot get it either, but Whis knows; The angel says it comes down to skill. Goku is true martial artist who has the experience and skill to win out over Caulifla. Champa panics and tells the girl to run.

On the battlefield, Caulifla lands a kick on Goku. She si pleased, but then Goku levels up. He begins to show after-images of himself an throws Caulifla off. Goku says she will never go SSJ3 if she cannot see through the attack, but she eventually gets there.

Part 2

In the stands, Krillin and Roshi are impressed Caulifla can read Goku’s after-images. Whis even notes the girl has a large amount of potential within her that Goku is now bringing out. Beerus begins to panic. 

Goku and Caulifla continue to battle. Universe 6 cheers for their girl while Champa continues to change his plans. Caulifla lands another hit on Goku and taunts him to transform. Goku powers up and struggles to enter Super Saiyan because of his stamina, but he does get there. He will not go SSJ3 until he has enough power, so the SSJ warriors begin to fight. Caulifla is blown back by his attack, but she throws a Crush Canon to counter. Goku appears to have been directly hit, but he blocked with his arm. Goku did not think she would have a killer attack like that. 

Goku says he is getting fired up and moves to rush Caulifla. When the SSJ begin to throw punches, their speed is even faster than before. Kale is still watching the two fight, and the arena is covered in debris when they hit one another with ki blasts. With both heroes fighting in SSJ2, Goku compliments the girl for having better mastered the form than he thought possible. Caulifla says she just wants to beat Goku so she can learn SSJ3 already, but the man says he has yet to show his full power yet. Both of them begin to power up their energy, and Roshi says it is impossible to know who will win. 

Caulifla and Goku begin to throw ki blasts at one another, and the arena is thrown into chaos. She throws another Crush Canon, but Goku deflects it away. Krillin and everyone else is in shock by the battle as they can see two skilled SSJ2 fighters going all-out. From the back, Kale begins to step out and notes that Caulifla looks like she is having fun. 

Caulifla gets a surprise punch in on Goku, and he says she may just go beyond SSJ3. He calls out to Kale and asks if she will join in. Beerus is in shock that Goku would willing bring in another fighter, and Champa tells the two to win. 

Part 3

Kale steps in to join the fighter, and Caulifla tells the girl to not hold back on anyone’s sake. The girl is happy to fight with Caulifla, and Kale goes into her controlled SSJ state. The three power up and begin to fight. The Universe 6 fighters work together flawlessly, and Kale throws Goku into a barrage of Crush Canon blasts. He says that attack hurt a bit, and Caulifla says she is happy to be teaming up with her friend. In the stands, Krillin says Goku has chosen to take the two girls on at once to push himself to the brink and force a power-up.

Kale and Caulifla launch themselves at Goku. The three begin to fight at ultra high speeds, but the hero is not losing. Champa is astounded, and Roshi wonders if that is because Goku has gone Ultra Instinct again. Whis says that is impossible because the form is very difficult to reach, but Goku is sharpening his senses because of the two girls threatening him. 

Goku and Caulifla launch a punch at Goku, but he bounces their energy back with his aura. When the dusts clears, Goku has gone Super Saiyan 3. He thanks the girls for making him power up, and Caulifla looks awed by the state as does Kale. However, Goku did not meant to go in the form; He powers down and waits to get his full power back. Caulifla says they will beat Goku to learn that power, and Kale says she will get stronger too with her sister. She powers up her SSJ form and goes full-on Berserker like Broly. Energy is seen erupting from her body, throwing debris and more. The audience is stunned to see Kale lose control on purpose, and Goku smirks at the challenge.
