The finale of Attack on Titan's second season is almost upon fans. The anime made its long-awaited return after its acclaimed first season dropped in 2013. The show's new season picked back up with Eren and his Survey Corps comrades as they continued to learn more about humanity's greatest foes. Now, Eren is about to face one Titan he never thought he'd see again, and the sight will send the soldier into an impressive rage.

The official site for Attack on Titan has released the synopsis for season two's final episode. You can read the synopsis for "Scream" below, but be warned! Spoilers lie ahead:

"The huge group of Titans that Erwin brought attacks the Armored Titan. As if scenes from Hell were unfolding, the Survey Corps manage to succeed in recapturing Eren. But, before the soldiers to evacuate, the Armored Titan brings out another Titan. It is the Titan who ate Eren's mother Carla on that day five years ago, sending Eren and Mikasa into shock. Eren then tries to fight as a Titan in order to settle his hatred and enmity with his own hands."

If you are a fan of the manga, then the synopsis will sound very familiar to you. The summary given is sourced straight from AAttack on Titan's 50th chapter "Scream." The chapter wraps the franchise's 12th volume and sees Eren go head-to-head against his mother's killer. However, the chapter is not as sweet as it may seem.

After the Smiling Titan makes its entrance, Eren and Mikasa watch from the sidelines as Hannes takes on the beast. The older man wants to avenge his best friend's death, but the Titan ends up devouring Hannes. Mikasa then attempts to slay the beast and resigns herself to death if it means saving Eren. However, before the girl can make a move, the boy rises up and fights the Titan himself. Eren winds up unlocking a new ability during the battle which allows him to control other Titans, and he commands them to eat the Smiling Titan. As readers learned, the power comes from Eren's ability to use the Coordinate, a powerful weapon which the island country Marley is searching for.

Eren Jaeger swore to wipe out every last Titan, but in a battle for his life he wound up becoming the thing he hates most. With his new powers, he fights for humanity's freedom facing the monsters that threaten his home. After a bittersweet victory against the Female Titan, Eren finds no time to rest—a horde of Titans is approaching Wall Rose and the battle for humanity continues!

If you are not familiar with Attack on Titan, then you should know the popular anime is renowned for its intense action and gritty story lines. The anime follows a boy named Eren Yeager in an alternate world overrun by massive creatures known as Titans.

These mindless beasts have all but wiped out humanity, and mankind is left to cower in fear behind massive walls. When their sanctum is infiltrated by a slew of Titans, Eren and his friends Armin and Mikasa join the military to help eradicate the blood-thirty monsters. But, as they grow older, they learn that the beasts are not what they appear as long-held government conspiracies make themselves known.
