If you are a fan of both Dragon Ball and the Justice League, then you know the franchises have some overlap. Sure, one may be about otherworldly Saiyans while the other deals with a powerful cocktail of superheroes – but there are similarities. Both Dragon Ball and the Justice League house insanely strong heroes who fight for good more often than not. Gifted with untold powers, the characters of these franchises have saved both Earth and the larger universe from total annihilation.

So, of course, fans are just dying to see some of their favorite characters from the two series duke it out. Here at ComicBook.com, we’re making our own match requests in the even that Toei Animation and DC Comics ever decide to make a one-off crossover.

Android 18 v Cyborg

In Dragon Ball, there are few female characters who are as powerful as Android 18 if any. While Gohan’s daughter Pan may give the cybernetic woman a run for her woman down the line, Android 18 is a formidable opponent who gave both Goku and Cell some serious grief.

As for Cyborg, the technologically enhanced boy stumbled upon his powers after a tragic accident. Gifted with robotic prosthetics, Cyborg joined the Justice League and impressed other heroes with his technopathy skills and super strength.

Clearly, they are a match made in heaven. Just don’t tell Krillin that.

Piccolo v Martian Manhunter

Sure, the characters are green, but that’s not the only reason fans should want to see the two aliens battle each other. Piccolo is known as a mainstay character in the Dragon Ball franchise. As the reincarnation of King Piccolo, Piccolo was determined to avenge his father’s death and kill Goku for causing it. The Namekian goes from being a powerful enemy to a must-have ally, and he’s strong enough to go toe-to-toe with Super Saiyans.

As for Martian Manhunter, the DC Comics character was introduced way back in the 1950s. The hero, who is one of the last Martians, has innate strength, regenerative properties, and a slew of psychic powers at his disposal. If he didn’t get along with Piccolo, the two would make for a good fight.

Vegeta v Batman

Oh, here we go. It’s time for the princely Saiyan of Dragon Ball to meet up with Gotham’s personal vigilante. And, no, it doesn’t look like the two men will get along whatsoever.

Dragon Ball fans will be deeply familiar with the name Vegeta. In the anime, the character acts as one of the main two protagonists of the franchise. Vegeta is one of the last true Saiyans and is Goku’s eternal rival. The two continually push each other, and Vegeta’s anti-hero personality often tips him into homicidal rages which explode thanks to his various Super Saiyan states.

As for Batman, the somber vigilante is the man who oversees Gotham and brings its seedy criminal underbelly to its knees. While the hero’s methods have been questioned for brutality in the past, Batman is most often seen as a symbol of gritty justice. So, if Bruce Wayne were to ever meet Vegeta, the heir would need to come up with a very fancy suit to take on the arrogant Saiyan.

Shenron v Wonder Woman

Alright, so Shenron may not be part of Dragon Ball’s Z-Fighters, but he is a very important character. And, what’s more, fans are just itching to see the powerful dragon get in a fight with the lovely Wonder Woman.

If you know about Shenron, then you know the magical dragon is a fearsome sight to behold. Audiences were introduced to the dragon after Goku and his comrades first wished upon the magical dragon balls as they all summoned Shenron. Able to grant any wish, Shenron’s power is a mysterious one, and fans have wondered what the dragon could dish out. When Dragon Ball GT rolled around, fans got a glimpse of what Shenron might be able to do in battle thanks to Omega Shenron, but a full-fight is still in the cards.

Of course, there’s no one better to take on Shenron in battle than Wonder Woman. The mythical heroine has previously taken on the evil dragon Drakul Karfang to the delight of readers, and Diana’s wise personality would no doubt intrigue Shenron as much as it annoyed him.

Goku v Superman

Of course, when it comes to Dragon Ball and the Justice League, fans have to see Goku and Superman go a few rounds. The two heroes are the original saviors of their respective franchises, and audiences have long wondered if Krypton’s Son could take down Son Goku.

In Dragon Ball, Goku is a character who needs no introduction. The protagonist is the franchise’s de facto leader and uncontested hero. Born as a Saiyan, Goku finds pleasure in fighting, and he’s a prodigy at all fighting styles. Not only can Goku fly and summon massive energy blasts strong enough to topple mountains, but he has taken down baddies who can crumble planets with a sneeze. And, since Goku has reached the Super Saiyan God transformations, the bumbling hero has become so powerful he’s regarded as a deity to some.

However, Superman is no slacker himself. The alien is the definition of invulnerable in most cases. Gifted with laser vision, monstrous strength, and the ability to fly, Superman is more than enough to take on the Justice League’s garden-variety baddies. With his ever-growing powers, Superman proves to be a stellar opponent for Goku thanks to his tactical background. The Dragon Ball hero may get away with fighting his way out of conflicts with brute force, but Superman will undercut him with his various strategies.

And that, you see, is what makes for a good fight.
