Back in 2015, the world was introduced to a new generation of ninjas when Naruto spun out a new manga. The iconic shonen series birthed a sequel series called Boruto that followed Naruto Uzuamki’s eldest child and his comrades following the Fourth Great Ninja War. This year, the spin-out manga will get its very own anime when Naruto Shippuden comes to an end this spring. And, now, reports have confirmed that a brand-new Boruto spin-off will be coming to Saikyou Jump.

UP NEXT: Upcoming Naruto Anime Spin-Off Reveals New Story Details
In the latest issue of Saikyou Jump, the publication confirmed that is would be housing a new Boruto series. Kenji Taira will be in-charge of the project, and fans are more than ready to see the artist take on the legacy characters. After all, Taira does have a history with Naruto; The artist is the principal designers behind other spin-off titles like Rock Lee’s Springtime of Youth and The Uchiha Sasuke Sharingan Chronicles.
So far, there’s no word on what the series will entail, but fans can expect it to be a humorous one. The preview art for the Boruto spin-off shows the titular hero and his teammate Sarada drawn in chibi-style. Sasuke and Naruto are also seen depicted with wide eyes and chubby cheeks. Given Taira’s past work, fans can readily assume that the new Boruto story will cover the young ninja’s shenanigans as he romps about a newly reconstructed Konoha.
Before the spin-off debuts, fans will have a chance to catch-up with Boruto. Thanks to Viz Media, the ninja’s on-going manga will be brought to the U.S. along with an English dubbed version of Boruto: Naruto The Movie.

Shrouded with an evil aura, Momoshiki and Kinshiki appear and attempt to assassinate Naruto. Petrified, Boruto is shielded by Naruto, only to disappear in front of Boruto’s own eyes.”
