The most recent manga chapter of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations saw both Sasuke and Naruto unleashing all of their power in order to attempt to defeat the Otsutsuki representative in Jigen, who also carries the title of the leader of Kara. Despite employing all the tricks up their sleeves including the Nine Tailed Fox energy, the Rinnegan, the Ameratsu, and the Rasengan to name a few, the two strongest ninja of Konoha simply didn’t have enough power to ultimately defeat the strongest foe they’ve ever encountered. Fans are rallying around Naruto’s feelings for Boruto here, as the hokage of Konoha grieves.
Naruto finds himself trapped and sealed away thanks to Jigen’s power, but despite the terrible fate that is befalling him, he still demands that the villain does nothing to harm his son. Though the father and son have not always had the best relationship, it’s clear that the current Hokage feels more than strongly about the fate of his son and his place in the Hidden Leaf Village!
