Here we go again, Naruto fans. If you thought Orochimaru was the only one who could get out Curse Seals was Orochimaru, then think again. Boruto just confirmed its titular hero did get one, and it doesn’t mean well.
Boruto had its 15th chapter go live recently, and the manga got fans buzzing. The update caught up with Boruto as the ninja continued his face-off with Shojoji. The villain managed to corner Boruto and his charge Tento, but the former was ready to use his Rasengan to win. However, Boruto was unable to use the move as his body suddenly became paralyzed with pain. A curse seal then spread on his palm, and the sight made Shojoji cower.
“That seal! It can’t beโฆ,” the criminal said. “You’re with that organization?!”
Boruto wasn’t able to get any more answers about the seal himself, but Sasuke did it for him. After Shojoji is captured and brought to Konoha, the Uchiha interrogated the man personally.
“I don’t know anything detailed about it. Honest! I just overheard a conversation amongst some suspicious guys wearing black robes,” Shojoji admitted.
“I just happened to come across them by chance in the basemen of some building I’d snuck in to rob long ago. I don’t know how many people there were, but they – that’s right – they were called Kara.”
However, if you’ve been thinking Boruto’s seal is like the one Sasuke has, you’d be wrong. Shojoji said he knows “full well of Orochimaru’s cursed seals” but that Boruto’s “was something completely different.”
If you’re not familiar with the mark Boruto wears, then you have to take some steps backwards. The boy got the mark from Momoshiki after Boruto prevented the villain from stealing Kurama from Naruto. The character freezes time and gives Boruto a small seal, warning Boruto that anyone who defeats a god like himself ceases to be a normal person. The mark has never flared up until now, but fans are left to wonder how Boruto’s seal connects to the group known as Kara.
However, there is one thing that’s for sure. Whatever connection the two has, it can’t be a good one.
