Boruto: Naruto Next Generations debuted back in April, but the anime is already climbing its way up popularity polls. The sequel has carved out a special place within the Naruto fandom, and the anime will soon celebrating by adapting one long-awaited manga run for the small screen.

UP NEXT: Naruto: New Boruto Synopsis Confirms Sasuke’s Return

Over on Reddit, a Japanese advert for Boruto‘s next story arc has got fans buzzing. The image depicts a stunning chalk art rendition of the anime’s upcoming ‘Naruto Gaiden’ arc. And, on the right, fans can see a premiere date for the new installment.

So, clear your calendars for August 9th. Boruto will embark on its next canon arc in a couple weeks.

Japan will air the episode on August 8th, so fans should expect the arc’s first episode to hit sites such as Cruchyroll earlier the next day. The premiere episode of ‘Naruto Gaiden’ had its titled revealed not too long ago, so you can read the synopsis for “Sakura and Sarada” below:

“Sarada is dumbfounded to see Boruto being chased by his father for vandalizing the “Hokage Rock”. However, seeing Boruto like this reminds Sarada of her father Sasuke who she has never met ever since she was little.”

If you are not familiar with ‘Naruto Gaiden,’ then you should know the story springs from an epilogue manga penned after Masashi Kishimoto wrapped the iconic series. The spin-off follows Sarada Uchiha as the girl comes to question the secrecy surrounding her birth. When the girl stumbles upon a photo of her father Sasuke with a mysterious red-haired woman, Sarada becomes convinced Sakura Haruno is not her biological mother. The Uchiha heir escapes Konoha with her friend ChouChou to find and confront Sasuke about her heritage, but the pair wind up being ensnared in a much bigger controversy when a man bearing the Sharingan attempts to kidnap Sarada.
